Job summary

Salt River Project in Tempe, AZ is recruiting a College Intern to support the Workspace Technologies department. The role offers a mix of technical and non-technical tasks, including automation, data analysis & reporting, and system troubleshooting.

The intern will work 30–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a hybrid schedule. Applicants must be enrolled in at least six college credits each semester and possess strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Summary

SRP is recruiting for a college student to work part‑time providing support in the Workspace Technologies department. A variety of work is anticipated including automation, data analysis & reporting and system troubleshooting. This position requires availability to work at least 30 hours per week with work hours scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 30 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

The successful candidate must be enrolled in six college credits (100+ Level) each semester (except summer sessions) to be eligible.

The selected candidate will be involved in both technical and non-technical tasks. Activities will allow for work to be completed individually as well as in a team environment with opportunity for collaboration with other departments within SRP.

Technical activities may include:
  • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and implementation of technology solutions
  • Scripting and software development
  • Data analysis and reporting
Non-technical tasks may include:
  • Creating and updating knowledgebase documentation
  • Communicating and coordination with other SRP departments
Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

  • Computer aptitude and ability to learn new technologies

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
