ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Inc. in Wooster, OH, is seeking a motivated Engineering Co-op to rotate through departments and contribute to real-world projects.

You will prototype, design, fabricate, machine, and support engineering teams while reporting to the Engineering Manager. This paid co-op offers hands-on experience, flexible hours, and opportunities to develop technical skills in CAD, manufacturing processes, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Currently a junior or senior in an accredited college program.
• Intro to AutoCAD/SolidWorks required.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prototype components and assist with prototyping activities.
• Assist in designing/building parts and assemblies.
• Fabricate, machine, cut and weld as needed on assigned tasks.
• Operate or support machining and fabrication processes.
• Work on assigned projects and provide updates to team leaders.
• Identify potential projects to save time and money for the company.
• Improve the experience and safety of shop team members.
• Support and follow the Company Safety Program.

Responsibilities

• Prototyping

• Cutting/welding
• Machining
• Work on assigned projects
• Identify potential projects to save the company time/money
• Improve experience for shop team members
• Support and follow the Company Safety Program
• Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and required to wear while on the shop floor.
