Qualifications

This position may support recruitments at both LMC Pittsburg or Brentwood Campuses.

NOTE: New employees will be placed at the first step which is $65,424 per year, second step $68,724 per year or third step at $72,204 per year (depending upon experience). Based on current salary placement guidelines, all step increases for which an employee becomes eligible shall take place on July 1st of each fiscal year. These increases will occur annually until the maximum step of $79,704 per year is reached on the salary schedule.

Position Definition

Provide technical HR support regarding salaries, benefits, recruitment, policies, and procedures; act as liaison between campus and District HR and Payroll.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare personnel action forms and submit for approval.
  • Facilitate recruitment and new hire orientation.
  • Verify and process employment documents and salary information.
  • Maintain detailed personnel records.
  • Assist with salary placement, reclassification, and step advancement.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education

Minimum: 3 years of HR, payroll, benefits, or administrative experience; Associate degree in HR or related field, or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Apply HR principles and procedures.
  • Research, analyze data, and prepare reports.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Understand and follow instructions independently.
  • Perform mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Establish cooperative relationships.
  • Respect diversity and promote inclusivity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience with employee records databases and HR software (e.g., Colleague, E-lumen, OnBase, MS Office 365, SharePoint).
  • Experience running SQL reports and communicating findings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and diversity.
