TES Staffing in Rochester, NY is seeking motivated Food Service Crew Members to join one of Rochester’s largest organizations for the 2026 fall semester. Whether you’re looking to build hands-on kitchen experience or you thrive in fast-paced food service environments, this is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic dining team during a busy semester.

Scheduling is extremely flexible, with day-to-day on-call shifts and some set schedules as they become available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience in food service, dietary, or related field.
• 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for 8hrs, and bend.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Comfortable following instructions and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepping fresh ingredients and scratch cooking.
• Serving and restocking meals for students.
• Dish room support, table clearing, and light janitorial work.
• Deep cleaning projects to keep everything spotless.
• Following food safety protocols and keeping a clean workspace.
• Providing friendly customer service and assisting students with dietary needs.

Pay Rate

$18.00/hr, weekly payroll

Scheduling

is predominantly day to day/ on call, with some set schedules offered as they become available. Hours of operation are 6a-12a, so we accept a range of availabilities

What You’ll Do

No two days are the same! You’ll be providing relief coverage and rotating through key areas of the kitchen including cooking, dishwashing, food prep, and serving. Job expectations include:
