Job summary

Northwestern Mutual College Financial Representatives in the internship program provide guidance and a framework for building an integrated financial planning practice. You’ll develop a network, work with experts, and grow a practice while balancing class schedules in a Fortune 500 environment.

You’ll experience coaching, access to exclusive products, and opportunities to interview for full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Strong time-management and campus involvement.

Responsibilities

• Learn prospecting and networking to grow client base.
• Develop and execute a business strategy.
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand goals.
• Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
• Gain exposure to planning software platforms.
• Attend weekly coaching, training, and development sessions.
• Assist with licensing processes (life, health, DI, LTC).
