Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) in Maryland is seeking an entry level Software Engineer to join cutting-edge programs. You will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems handling analytics, large data sets, and real-time processing, guided by documented requirements.

You will collaborate across teams on new solutions, review design and test results, and contribute to hardware/software trade-offs and the reuse of COTS/GOTS as appropriate.

Software Engineer - Entry Level
Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Software Engineer - Entry Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
  • Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions
  • Innovating RF signal processing applications
  • Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools
  • Integrating new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors
  • Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
  • Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with RF signal processing applications
  • Proficiency working in Linux development environments
  • Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
Desired Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
  • Experience with geospatial processing
  • Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays
  • Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$125,000- $150,000
