Job Title: College Essayist

TPAPT is hiring for one of our chapters! We are looking for an experienced college essayist to work with high school students to develop their college essays.

Responsibilities:

1. Work via Zoom or Google Meet with students in grades 9-12 to create and implement a roadmap for college essays.
2. Assist students with brainstorming, essay development, and supplemental essays.
3. Proofread and copy edit essays as needed.
4. Consult with parents to update them on student progress.
5. Collaborate with a dedicated team, engaging with great students and supportive families.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English from a US 4-year college (MFA preferred).
• At least two years of experience as a college essay specialist.
• Deep knowledge of common application essay prompts.
• Writing samples from two of your past students.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to handle administrative tasks.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Tech-savvy, confident, and professional in an online setting.
