Job description

TPAPT is hiring for one of our awesome chapters! We are looking for an experienced college essayist.

What you'll do:
  1. Work via Zoom or Google Meet with students in grades 9 - 12 to create and implement a roadmap for college essays.
  2. Assist students with brainstorming, essay development, and supplemental essays.
  3. Proofread and copy edit as needed.
  4. Consult with parents as needed to inform them of student progress.
  5. Work with a dedicated and enjoyable team, great kids, and supportive families.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in English from a US 4-year degree-granting college (MFA preferred).
  2. At least two years of experience as a college essay specialist.
  3. Deep knowledge of the common application essay prompts.
  4. Writing samples from two of your past students.
  5. Strong attention to detail and willingness to handle administrative tasks related to our college support programs.
  6. Exceptionally strong communication skills.
  7. Tech-savvy, confident, and professional in an online setting.
Benefits:
  1. Fully remote and flexible work schedule.
  2. Hours are variable, generally ranging from 3 to 15 hours per week.

  4. Compensation: $30-40 per hour.
