Job summary

COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON is accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment in the Department of Theatre and Dance. This appointment begins January 1, 2027.

This is a full-time permanent position with a teaching load of four courses per semester. We seek a candidate who can inspire both beginning and experienced students in their initial dance studies and actively support the ongoing development of the Dance major.

Qualifications

• MA/MFA/PhD required by January 1, 2027.
• Professional experience in dance.
• Prior undergraduate teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full course load (4/4) each semester.
• Advise and mentor dance majors; participate in recruitment and committees.
• Choreograph for department productions as needed.
