Job summary

Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) is seeking a Middle and High School, College and Career Readiness Coach in the Bronx to mentor students transitioning from middle to high school and from high school to college. The role emphasizes personalized planning and hands-on support through tutoring, college visits, and summer programs.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree (preferred) in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience supporting underserved and first-generation students.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to build trust with students, families, and educators.
• Deep understanding of Bronx communities and a commitment to helping local youth achieve college and career success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on support through tutoring, mentoring, college visits, summer programs, and financial aid workshops.
• Collaborate with school leaders, families, and community partners to strengthen pathways to higher education and career success.
• Use academic data and evidence-based strategies to improve student outcomes and program impact across sites.
• Advise students through every academic transition from middle school to college by developing personalized college and career readiness plans.
• Plan, designs, and conducts front-line workshops with groups according to the GEAR UP service delivery plan.

Education
