Job summary

American Heritage School seeks a College Advisor for the Palm Beach Campus to guide students through college planning, placement, and transitions from high school to college. You will assist families, plan four‑year trajectories, and coordinate coursework and counseling services with the Upper School team.

The role emphasizes advising on course choices, test prep coordination, and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; experience in college advising, planning, and/or admissions preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in developing an educational plan including course selections and goals.
• Create college search and application timelines and review college essays and applications.
• Coordinate with families and school staff to monitor student progress and graduation requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of college admissions processes, Bright Futures, NCAA information, and related policies.
