Job summary

The University of California, Santa Cruz seeks a Lead College Facilitator to coordinate GEAR UP activities at assigned schools. Under the GEAR UP Assistant Director, you will lead direct services, supervise college facilitators and interns, and drive outreach that helps economically disadvantaged students prepare for college.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience advising and supporting educationally disadvantaged students.
• Knowledge of K-12 and higher education policies and issues.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with school district personnel and communities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement college access programming for K-12 students.
• Lead partnerships with school districts, higher education institutions and community organizations.
• Supervise staff, manage budgets, and support fundraising and recruitment.
