Job summary

BSI Financial is seeking a Collections Team Lead to oversee Collection Specialists and drive performance in a mortgage servicing environment. You will manage daily call metrics, delegate duties, and ensure compliance with applicable laws while achieving service goals.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to coach a team in a fast-paced office setting with standard business hours in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

• Lead training initiatives and ensure ongoing education for the team.
• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time, even during high call volume.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Collections Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all Collection Specialists to ensure proper collection efforts are completed.

Essential Functions

1. 1. Monitor reports to ensure team is meeting expectations of 50 calls per day goal.
2. 2. Resetting auto dialer on a daily basis.
3. 3. Take escalated calls as needed.
4. 4. Responsible for delegating duties to team members.
5. 5. Provide timely follow up on Collection Specialists' work expectations.
6. 6. Follow federal and state laws dealing with debt collection.
7. 7. Follow up with team training requirements to ensure ongoing education.
8. 8. Live call monitoring to ensure quality standards of BSI are being met.
9. 9. Ability to work within and meet deadlines.
10. 10. Responsible for meeting legal requirements and following internal policies.
11. 11. Monitor employees to ensure all tasks are completed timely and accurately.
12. 12. Continue to take calls when call volume is high.
13. 13. Monitor queue to make sure agents are in correct aux status.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Ability to sit for long periods of time is essential.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with possibility of working a shift from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm. One Saturday per month 8:00 am- 12:00 pm

Education and Experience

• 2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, & Outlook
• 4. Mortgage servicing experience
• 5. 1 year minimum Management/Leadership experience
