Oregon Community Credit Union in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a Collections Support Specialist I for a hybrid role based in Eugene. You will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Collections Department, focusing on recovery activities and repossession coordination, processing transactions, and maintaining documentation.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, and timely communication with external partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of similar or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfort working with sensitive member information and regulatory requirements.
• Must obtain Oregon notary commission within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Process and post financial transactions including auction proceeds, CPI claim payments, garnishment checks, and third-party collections.
• Support repossession coordination by assigning accounts, updating agents, processing intakes, and generating statutory notices.
• Maintain accurate documentation, secure vault records, and ensure compliance with retention procedures.
• Process estate claims, insurance recoveries, and SKIP claims with attention to detail and regulatory accuracy.
• Assist with department mail, print requests, supply ordering, and invoice processing.
• Uphold compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and all regulatory standards.
• Serve as an Oregon-commissioned Notary Public (or obtain commission within 90 days of hire).
