Job summary

GoodLeap is seeking a Collections Specialist to resolve overdue payments and manage accounts in the personal finance department. You will drive the collection of outstanding balances and work toward current loan status while meeting daily and monthly metrics.

The role involves outbound and inbound client calls, adherence to collections policies, and a professional demeanor. Prior telemarketing in financial products is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of direct experience in credit and collections.
  • Experience with sales, negotiation and persuasion tools is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Collections Specialists are responsible for resolving overdue bills and collecting payments from the individuals or businesses responsible for the debt. Identifying accounts with overdue payments and keeping records of the amount owed and the length of the delinquency.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Increase the collection of outstanding payments within our personal finance department, as an individual contributor in the collections process
  • Identify accounts with overdue payments and find solutions to help bring their loan to a current status
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly collection and metric goals
  • Outbound/Inbound calls with clients to resolve debts owed
  • All in compliance with Goodleap’s collections policies and procedures
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • 1-2 years of direct experience in credit and collections; knowledgeable in sales, negotiation and persuasion tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior telemarketing experience with financial products preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Self‑motivated and extremely goal‑oriented
  • Team Player
  • Professional demeanor

Compensation: $18.00 / hr. +bonus
