Job summary

TempExperts is seeking a Collections Specialist (Healthcare - Patient Focused) in Clearwater, FL, onsite. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour with a monthly bonus opportunity and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will help patients understand their financial responsibility with empathy while coordinating with billing teams. The role emphasizes patient communication, payment arrangements, and accurate documentation in the practice management system, with growth potential in a growing healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in medical billing, collections, patient accounts, or revenue cycle management preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex billing information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients regarding outstanding balances after insurance has processed claims.
• Explain deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and patient responsibility in a clear and compassionate manner.
• Assist patients with payment arrangements and payment plans.
• Answer questions regarding statements, insurance payments, and account balances.
• Document collection activities accurately within the practice management system.
• Collaborate with internal billing and appeals teams to resolve account issues.
• Handle inbound patient inquiries while delivering exceptional customer service.
