Qualifications

About the Role

As a Collections Security Officer, you will play a vital role in executing video gaming collections while ensuring the safety and security of company assets. This position requires carrying a firearm and maintaining a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, and situational awareness. Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, hold a valid Illinois FOID card, and successfully meet the licensing requirements of the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), including fingerprinting and background screening. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong moral character, integrity, and a calm, composed demeanor. This role requires the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, perform collections at customer locations, and remain constantly aware of surroundings to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and company assets.

What you’ll do
Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Securely handle, transport, and account for currency with accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Safely transport and reconcile assigned funds to support the resolution of gaming-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all fund transactions and related documentation.
  • Generate, collect, and process gaming machine activity reports in accordance with company procedures.
  • Remain alert and maintain situational awareness while communicating effectively with team members and customers.
  • Comply with all departmental, company, and applicable state policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental operations.

Who You Are
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Able to obtain and maintain all required gaming and armed security licenses.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Hold a valid Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card.
  • Proficient in using computers and standard business software.
  • Able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • An effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accuracy, accountability, and professionalism in a security-focused environment.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and maintain situational awareness in a variety of work environments.
  • Previous experience in private security, the military, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience

Little to no prior professional experience required. Training will be provided.

Work Environment

This role involves work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas. Employees may experience regular exposure to varying weather conditions and temperature changes.
