Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Collections Representative III to join their team in Northwest Austin, TX. The role focuses on managing complex delinquent consumer accounts while delivering member service and protecting the credit union's financial interests.

This direct-hire, hybrid position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of consumer collections experience.
• Experience handling repossessions, bankruptcies, and advanced loss mitigation processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to mentor team members and collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage early- and late-stage delinquent consumer loan, credit card, and deposit accounts.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements and develop loss mitigation solutions.
• Handle complex accounts involving bankruptcies, repossessions, skip tracing, and legal referrals.
• Process insurance claims, skip claims, and maintain accurate account documentation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior collections team members.
• Analyze collection trends and assist with operational reporting.
• Partner with internal departments and third-party vendors to improve collection strategies.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support process improvement initiatives and departmental projects as needed.
