Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) invites applications for a Charge Off/Recovery Clerk in our Collections Department. The role prepares files for Charge Off, maintains recovery payment records, and balances daily and month-end reports.

You will collaborate with AP to verify charges, assist with special projects, and support our 40-hour work week with competitive benefits including holidays, vacation, health coverage, 401(k), pension, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in business or finance preferred.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; strong typing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Moderate writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/process accounts for Charge Off and reversals.
• Balance daily Recovery and Charge Off GL accounts.
• Prepare month end reports for Recovery and Charge Offs.
• Submit invoices to AP and verify to Charge Off accounts.
• Other duties as assigned and assist with special projects.
