Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing company. The Credit Specialist role centers on collecting customer trade receivables and resolving processing issues with branches and third-party payers, all from our Leawood, KS office.

Responsibilities include contacting customers by phone or email, updating the system with real-time notes, assessing payment receipts, and preparing delinquency letters.

Qualificações

• Two or more years of account administration or collection experience.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Must be detail oriented and well organized.
• Proficiency with computer systems including Excel, Word, Outlook; AS/400 experience desired.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with customers by telephone and/or email to collect all open items on accounts.
• Update the business system with real-time collection notes after discussions with debtors.
• Evaluate payments and pursue delinquent accounts; may write collection letters or recommend credit adjustments.
• Review accounts receivable aging to ensure accuracy of payments and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with branches or third-party payers to resolve processing issues.
• Prepare reports for managers on past due accounts and status updates.
• Assist management in new business approvals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Credit Specialist. The Credit Specialist is engaged in collection of customer trade receivable accounts. In addition to customer accounts, the Credit Specialist works with branches or third-party payers to resolve processing and payments issues.

This position is fully in office 5 days a week in Leawood, KS.

• Communicates with customers by telephone and/or via e-mail to collect all open items on account.
• Updates the business system with real-time collection notes following discussions with account debtors.
• Evaluates customer payment receipts and attempts to collect delinquent accounts; may write collection letters; makes collection telephone calls or make recommendations for credit limit adjustments.
• Reviews accounts receivable aging to ensure accounts are reconciled and that all payments have been processed correctly.
• Works with branches or third-party payers to resolve processing issues.
• Prepares reports, as requested by manager, to provide update on payment status of past due accounts to keep Operations Credit Manager informed on past due accounts.
• Assists management in the approval of new business.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Requires two or more years of account administration / collection experience.
• Excellent communication skills with an emphasis towards customer service.
• Must be detail oriented and have good organization skills.
• Requires knowledge of computer systems including Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Internet. Prior experience with AS/400 is desired
• Post-secondary education preferred.
