Fastest Labs of Frederick is seeking a detail-oriented Collection Technician to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. The role involves collecting urine, oral fluid, and breath alcohol specimens, maintaining strict chain-of-custody, and documenting records with accuracy.

You will work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, upholding professionalism and confidentiality while coordinating with labs and employers for timely results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in specimen collection, phlebotomy, or a medical/clinical setting preferred.
• DOT/USDOT collection certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform drug, alcohol, and DNA specimen collections following strict chain-of-custody procedures
• Conduct urine, oral fluid, and breath alcohol testing in compliance with DOT and non-DOT guidelines
• Accurately document and process collection paperwork and electronic records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant collection facility
• Provide a professional and respectful experience for all clients and donors
• Coordinate with laboratory partners and employers to ensure timely result reporting
• Stay current on federal and industry regulations related to workplace drug testing
