St. Tammany Health System seeks a Colleague Relations Partner to provide consultative services on colleague relations matters and assist leaders with disciplinary actions in line with HR policies.
The role supports colleague retention, unemployment claims representation, and dispute resolution while monitoring employment law changes and coordinating internal investigations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Work Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
The Colleague Relations Partner provides consultative services to colleagues and leaders on a wide range of colleague relations matters, including performance management and understanding/application of STHS HR policies & procedures. Assists leaders with various disciplinary matters in accordance with STHS policies. Responsible for colleague retention and recognition events, unemployment claims/appeal hearing representation, and dispute resolution facilitation. Monitors employment laws and recommends changes to those HR policies and practices that affect colleague relations. Conducts and coordinates internal investigations.
B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent degree and administrative/HR/business environment experience required. Minimum of two years experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare. Must have a comprehensive understanding of human resources principles and practices, with special emphasis on employee relations. Must have knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, process facilitation, problem solving, conflict resolution, change management, diplomacy and interpersonal relationship skills.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
