Job summary

SS&C Technologies in New York City is seeking an Associate Director for Collateral Management to lead strategy across collateral management, middle-office operations, regulatory margin compliance, and operational controls for complex investment portfolios.

The role requires deep expertise in Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR), AANA calculations, ISDA SIMM, and collaboration with prime brokers, custodians and counterparties to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in collateral management, middle-office operations, derivatives or capital markets.
• Deep knowledge of UMR, AANA calculations, IM/VM, and ISDA SIMM.
• Proven experience leading technology enhancements and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, reconciliation, settlements and controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Buyside collateral management, including IM/VM, collateral optimization, disputes and settlements.
• Provide guidance on UMR regulations, ISDA SIMM and regulatory margin requirements.
• Lead annual and ongoing AANA calculations, assessments and reporting for UMR.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact across collateral, ops and tech platforms.
• Support client onboardings, account setup, custodial relationships and collateral documentation.
• Lead business analysis for collateral management and middle-office tech platforms.
• Gather, define and prioritize requirements for strategic system enhancements and transformations.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee daily reconciliation of cash, positions, and transactions across asset classes.
• Investigate and resolve operational breaks and collateral disputes.
• Establish controls and SLAs for processes and exception management.
