Fluvanna County Public Schools in Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Special Education teacher for Collaborative K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year. The role requires a valid Virginia teaching license with a Special Education endorsement and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors.
• Experience working in alternative programs and settings.
• Valid certification to meet State requirements with specific endorsement in the area assigned.
• Applicant must have good health and no disqualifying physical or emotional handicaps.
• Evidence of fitness to teach from the standpoint of health may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares course objectives and outlines following state and school guidelines.
• Lectures and uses audiovisual aids to present subject matter.
• Prepares, administers, and corrects tests and records results.
• Assigns lessons, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations.
• Ability to differentiate instruction based on varying levels of student ability.
• Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and informs parents.
• Keeps attendance and grade records as required by school.
• Coordinates class field trips.
• Works cooperatively with the total staff.
• Ability to work independently.
• Uses instructional and planning time effectively.
• Assumes responsibility for materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintains neat, safe environment for students committed to their care.
• Promotes positive interaction with and among students and staff.
