Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Evidence of successful clinical experience in communication disorders and language development.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people and agencies in special education.
• Ability to work effectively with parents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in diagnostic assessments with students in grades 6-12.
• Skilled at documenting services provided to students.
• Ability to balance a caseload and meet paperwork deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Organize language development program for speech and language impaired students.
• Instruct individuals in large and small group language activities.
• Perform speech and language diagnostic testing.
• Write IEP goals and prescriptive activities based on testing results.
• Keep IEP progress reports updated per schedule.
• Maintain service logs for all students serviced.
• Medicaid responsibilities as assigned.
• Finalize speech-only IEPs and METs.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents on language goals.
