Job summary

Colorado State University’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance may seek full time or part time, temporary or special Music Instructors to provide collaborative piano support to ensembles, instrumental majors, and/or vocal majors. Applicants are added to the pool throughout the calendar year; hiring decisions are made in spring for fall, in early fall for spring, and in spring for the summer term.

The department offers a 9-month base salary range of $46,000–$50,000, prorated for part-time work,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance or Collaborative Piano with evidence of significant accompanying experience (at least 5 years).
• Master’s in Piano Performance with evidence of significant accompanying experience (at least 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Rehearse and perform with students for lessons, performances, studio classes, master classes, competitions, and juries (vocal and instrumental assignments as needed).
• Accompany opera rehearsals and performances.
• Accompany daily vocal ensemble rehearsals and performances.
• Accompany for Freshman Voice Class.
• Accompany for auditions as requested.
