Job summary

Academies of Math and Science – Nellis Campus in Las Vegas seeks a passionate Middle School Science Teacher for the 2026–2027 year. The teacher will deliver rigorous science instruction, foster inquiry-based learning, and use data to drive interventions in a Title I setting.

The ideal candidate has a Nevada teaching license, a science or education degree, and a collaborative mindset to support student achievement across grades and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education is required.
• Valid Nevada teaching license (NDE) is required.
• Strong classroom management and high expectations for Title I communities.
• Analytical mindset and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and instructional leaders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned middle school science instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners and use data to guide planning.
• Lead hands-on investigations and lab activities with safety and organization.
• Engage families and communicate student progress regularly.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and participate in PLCs and PD.
