Job summary

USC Auxiliary Services, a major division of the University of Southern California, seeks an Athletic Fields Groundskeeper to maintain USC athletic fields for Trojan Athletics and intercollegiate competition. You will prep fields, line and mark surfaces, and ensure turf quality for training and games.

This role requires practical knowledge of field sports, grass care, and safe operation of power tools. A high school diploma is not required, and familiarity with safety practices and a CA driver’s

Qualifications

• High School diploma not required.
• 0–6 months of experience minimum.
• Basic knowledge of field sports and ground maintenance.
• Experience with power tools.
• Familiarity with plant species and landscaping.
• Uphold safety practices and DMV pull notice requirements.
• CA driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain condition and appearance of all athletic fields, intramural fields, and stadiums.
• Prepare fields for intercollegiate sports by lining, marking, turf maintenance, and fertilization.
• Use and maintain power tools and other equipment.
• Prepare soil for planting.
• Sweep walkways and maintain paved areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
