The Santa Barbara Smokehouse, Inc. is seeking a warehouse scaler in Santa Barbara, CA to ensure accurate product data, verify batch numbers and quantities, and prepare correct labels before packing.

You will cross-check documents, print sample labels, and uphold strict quality standards throughout the distribution process. Responsibilities include weighing, packing, inspecting for damage, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Formación

• Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to lift 5-50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately weight, pack, wrap, and label products for shipping.
• Inspect the product for defects or damage before packing.
• Verify product quantities and quality based on order forms.
• Ensure that packaging materials are used correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and adhere to food hygiene regulations
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to supervisors.
• Assist with loading/unloading shipments or any other duties as needed.
• Follow company procedures for food safety, allergen control, and traceability
• Weigh and count items accurately
