Job summary

PeopleReady, Inc. in Kailua-Kona, HI is hiring porters to sanitize and organize food-contact surfaces, trays, and containers. You will work in cold storage and production areas while following safety standards and sanitation protocols.

This role supports kitchen teams and requires reliability and team communication. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and weekends; applicants must be 18+ with basic English, and prior porter/dishwasher experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience as a porter, dishwasher, or sanitation worker is preferred.
• Comfortable working in freezer/cold storage environments and maintaining hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and organize trays, utensils, containers, and surfaces.
• Work in cold storage, production rooms, and freezer environments.
• Clean racks, carts, bins, shelving, and floors per schedules.
• Ensure sanitation protocols for fresh and frozen food handling.
• Monitor equipment and report temperature or safety issues.
• Support kitchen and sanitation teams with cleaned and stocked tools.
