Job summary

Sunset operates a Livonia Distribution Center seeking a CIC Supervisor to lead inventory control and coordinate with commodity planners and operations.

You will oversee training, ensure allocations meet customer service goals, and maintain GMP/compliance in a refrigerated warehouse environment. The shift runs 6:00PM–6:00AM with a 400,000 sq ft facility, 24/7 operations, and emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and timely communication with production and shipping teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the produce industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Detail oriented with solid time management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficient with NAV, JDA and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Achieve departmental goals including rejection percentage and inventory freshness.
• Coordinate daily Production and Sales Order allocations with Operations.
• Ensure all sales orders are allocated through inventory or production.
• Maintain an inventory plan for 0-3 day horizon with inbound, production, and forecasted sales.
• Communicate the plan to CICs and follow up on execution.
• Routinely check product quality in inventory and at receiving.
• Coordinate with commodity team, Production and Shipping to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain regular communication with planners, schedulers, inventory controllers, and managers.
• Oversee training and participate in interviewing for CIC roles.
