Job summary

Michigan Bread is seeking a reliable Freezer Worker Forklift Operator in Taylor, MI to support our warehouse team. You will safely handle frozen goods and operate heavy equipment to move products efficiently, ensuring accurate storage and timely order fulfillment.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork, with a structured day shift that aligns with fast-paced distribution operations in a cold storage setting. Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in a warehouse.
• Basic math skills for counting and measuring stock.
• Experience with cold storage environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport frozen products within the warehouse.
• Assist with order picking using various equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately.
• Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and storing goods in designated freezer zones while adhering to safety standards.
• Support shipping and receiving processes by inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, then properly storing items in the freezer area.
• Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure all machinery operates smoothly and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations to promote safety for all team members.
