Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is hiring a Forklift Operator to facilitate shipping and receiving in our cheese plants, using a warehouse management system. You will stage products, verify paperwork, and report any paperwork inaccuracies to the supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness in cold storage and ensure safety procedures are followed. The role requires forklift certification, knowledge of warehouse management software, and the ability to work 8- or 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Warehouse forklift experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse management software is required.
• RF scanning knowledge is beneficial.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution is desired.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive work environment and foster teamwork and communication.
• Advance knowledge of warehousing and distribution procedures.
• Assist packaging areas with strong communication and teamwork.
• Follow all safety measures and SOPs.
• Stage products before shipment and verify shipping paperwork.
• Make quantity adjustments using the warehouse management system.
• Inspect incoming products for contamination and correct labeling.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in cold storage areas.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Follow shipping schedules and coordinate with logistics.
