Job summary

Aapstaff is hiring a dependable Forklift Driver in Streamwood, IL to safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, RF scanners, and voice-picking systems. You will move raw materials, dry goods, and finished products, ensuring proper product rotation and accurate loading into trailers.

Responsibilities include inventory rotation, daily pre-op safety inspections, and documenting transactions while coordinating with shift supervisors and QA staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, loading/receiving dock, or cold-storage environment.
• 6 to 12 months of active forklift operation experience.
• Proficient basic math skills and reading comprehension for inventory and order validation.

Responsibilities

• Material handling: operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, walkers, and powered hand jacks to move goods across the warehouse floor.
• Order picking & loading: use Voice system and RF scanners to select, stage, and load orders into trailers per configurations.
• Inventory control & rotation: follow FIFO procedures and conduct counts as needed.
• Safety & inspections: perform daily pre-operation inspections and report issues per OSHA policies.
• Documentation & communication: complete tracking paperwork and coordinate with supervisors and QA staff.
• Facility cleanliness: maintain a clean, organized workspace including docks and storage areas.
