Job summary

Ftc USA is seeking an experienced header man to operate and maintain multiple forming lines. You will interpret blueprints, set up tooling, and ensure parts meet tolerances using calipers and micrometers.

The role requires attention to quality checks, routine maintenance, and manual handling up to 35 lbs. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of header experience and can read drawings, use precision measurement tools, and follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a header man.
• Ability to apply rational systems to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
• Able to read, comprehend, and execute directions from mechanical drawings.
• Able to measure dimensions using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Tear down, set up and operate multiple lines to tolerances for headers or trimmers to produce metal parts.
• Conduct first run inspections and periodic quality checks.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning, lubrication, and fluid checks.
• Install cold heading tooling in machines and set up various support equipment.
• Compute feed length and progression to produce quality parts.
• Establish processing parameters and monitor equipment to maintain quality.
• Read measuring equipment such as shadowgraphs, micrometers, calipers, and related tools.
• Perform minor die repairs and adjustments to maintain part integrity.
• Move stock and finished parts as required; lift up to 35 lbs.
