Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Cold Header Machine Operator I in Rockford, IL to operate and maintain precision cold heading equipment. You will set up, monitor, and ensure parts meet exact quality standards on a two-shift schedule.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 2–5+ years of experience, and strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools. On-site with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain production documents and report quality or equipment concerns.

Our client is seeking a Cold Header Machine Operator to join their team. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will make an immediate impact. As a Cold Header Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining cold heading equipment while ensuring products meet exact quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cold heading machines according to production schedules and specifications
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maximize quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate production documentation and communicate any quality or equipment concerns
• Work closely with supervisors and teammates to improve production processes
• Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe manufacturing environment

Skills & Experience

• Education: HSD, required, technical training or certification in machining or related field,
• Experience: 2-5+ years operating cold heading equipment or similar manufacturing machinery, required
• Knowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, required
• Ability: Read & interpret blueprints, technical drawings, & specifications and use precision measuring instruments, required

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. OT Available: Friday and Saturday
