Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring for full-time and part-time Cold Food (Salad) positions at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK. The roles involve preparing and serving salads, sandwiches, and other cold foods, with a pay rate of $12.50–$14.00 per hour.

• Store food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation per HACCP.

Job Overview

Location: Northwestern Oklahoma State University (70 Monroe Street, Alva, OK 73717).

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time COLD FOOD (SALAD) positions.

Schedule: Full time Monday‑Friday 9:00 am‑5:00 pm and part time Monday‑Thursday 11:00 am‑7:00 pm.

Pay: $12.50‑$14.00 per hour.

Requirements: Prior food service experience and knife skills required. The position may require standing for long periods.

Job Summary

Cuts delicatessen meats, vegetables and cheeses with slicing machine, knives or other cutters. Prepares and serves sandwiches, salads and other cold food items.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef.
• Prepares sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads using approved production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Stocks and replenishes deli/cold products and condiments following approved merchandising guidelines.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstation, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following HACCP standard wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units and floors in the preparation and serving areas.
• Places meat, cheese or vegetables on cutting board and cuts slices to designated thickness, operates slicing machine.
• Interacts with coworkers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment to comply with sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
