Job summary

Americold, a global leader in temperature-controlled logistics, seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician II in Sanford, NC. Under supervision, you will operate and repair refrigeration systems across the warehouse, ensuring reliability and safety of equipment.

You’ll monitor performance, perform routine maintenance per OSHA standards, and keep accurate maintenance records. The role requires physical ability, on-call shifts, and adaptability to a cold storage environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of refrigeration or maintenance experience.
• HVAC/R certification or technical degree required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete industrial refrigeration or mechanical-electrical courses.
• Must complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.
• Basic computer skills for email and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair refrigeration systems in the warehouse.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine maintenance per OSHA standards.
• Test and evaluate equipment using appropriate instruments.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Adapt to flexible shifts including on-call.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
