100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cold-Chain Logistics Operations Supervisor in Salinas, CA.

You will direct day-to-day logistics, safeguard product quality and temperature, and align teams to meet customer commitments with a strong emphasis on safety and GMP standards. You will lead dock activities, optimize staffing, and coordinate with Production, Sales, Quality, and Maintenance while ensuring the cold chain is intact and documented.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent with 3+ years in manufacturing, warehousing or logistics.
• Leadership experience in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Experience with fresh produce and cold-chain knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift certification.
• Proficiency in NAV or similar ERP systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping/receiving activities and supervise forklift drivers.
• Review workloads, bills of lading, invoices, orders to set priorities.
• Optimize manpower planning using KPIs and staffing plans.
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Quality, and Maintenance.

Cold-Chain Logistics Operations SupervisorStep into a hands-on leadership role where you orchestrate the flow of fresh product from receiving through shipment. In our fast-paced produce manufacturing setting, you will direct day-to-day logistics, safeguard product quality and temperature, and keep teams aligned with customer commitments.A Day in the RoleYou kick off with a dock walk and a quick huddle with forklift drivers and support staff. You scan shipping workloads, bills of lading, and orders, set priorities, and tune staffing to hit the plan. Throughout the day, you coordinate with Production, Sales, Quality, and Maintenance, confirming that loading patterns protect product, the cold chain is intact, and customers get what they expect—on time and in full. If a temperature excursion, contamination, or foreign material alert pops up, you lead the response and documentation. You’ll reconcile raw product receipts in NAV, oversee cooling tube operations, verify inventory accuracy, and keep material-handling equipment in top shape, partnering with Maintenance and vendors as needed. You close the day by updating KPIs, paperwork, and next-day assignments while reinforcing safety, GMP, and PPE standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate shipping and receiving activities and personnel, including forklift drivers and support roles.Review shipping workloads, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related documentation to determine priorities, assignments, and shipping methods.Optimize manpower planning and drive performance using operational KPIs.Collaborate closely with Production, Sales, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams to meet customer requirements.Assign work, monitor performance, train team members, and coach on policies, procedures, safety, and role expectations.Oversee truck loading/unloading to ensure proper loading patterns, product protection, and safe handling.Maintain the cold chain across all shipping and receiving steps.Investigate and respond to potential food safety incidents, contamination, foreign material, and cold chain issues.Oversee raw product receiving from scale through production, including cooling tube operations.Maintain accurate, timely raw product inventory records.Inspect forklifts and other material handling equipment; coordinate repairs with Maintenance or outside providers and keep vehicle maintenance records.Support Utilities team members with tools, direction, and resources to complete daily responsibilities.Promote a strong culture of employee safety, food safety, GMP, and PPE compliance.Support company safety and health programs and compliance with applicable federal, state, county, national, and international regulations.Partner with Human Resources on employee relations and applicable labor laws.Complete required paperwork, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.Leverage training and performance-management programs to improve productivity, quality, and overall performance.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.QualificationsDegree plus 3+ years of relevant experience, or two years of college coursework plus 5+ years related experience.Prior leadership in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or inventory control.Experience in fresh produce is highly preferred.Solid knowledge of freight handling and truck loading procedures.Valid driver’s license.Forklift certification required; forklift trainer certification preferred.First Aid/CPR certification preferred (training available).Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Excel skills; working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Ability to learn and use NAV or similar ERP systems effectively.Clear communication, strong organization, planning, and prioritization abilities.Strong math and analytical skills.Capacity to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.Integrity, reliability, adaptability, and proven leadership.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Travel to Yuma, AZ and Salinas, CA is required.Physical & Work EnvironmentAbility to walk and stand for extended periods; prolonged sitting and computer/terminal use.Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.Work across offices, refrigerated coolers, production and warehouse areas, and outdoors in varying weather.Requires hand dexterity and strength.Tools & ProficiencyYou should be proficient in: logisticsMachines & technologies you’ll use: NAVIf you’re a hands-on logistics leader ready to elevate shipping, receiving, inventory, and raw product operations, we want to hear from you.
