Job summary

Maersk Freight Brokerage in Dayton, OH is seeking a Drayage specialist to support our cold storage and drayage operations. You will engage with carriers, manage port logistics, and ensure timely movement of goods through our network.

The role requires strong knowledge of drayage, brokerage, and negotiation, with a track record in logistics and carrier relations. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Drayage with strong port operations knowledge.
• Proven track record in logistics/trucking, brokerage capabilities, and carrier relations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with carriers, focusing on Drayage services and port operations.
• Research and resolve freight and billing issues to ensure smooth shipments.
• Maintain communications with carriers and brokerage leadership to align goals.
• Track and trace shipments daily to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments and optimize resources.
• Engage carriers in pricing strategies and perform market analyses for drayage and OTR.
