Job summary

Maersk is hiring a Cold Chain Freight Brokerage professional in Dayton, NJ to join our team from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This direct-hire role includes a full benefits package and 15 days of PTO, with a focus on drayage, port operations, and building strong carrier relationships to support efficient distribution.

You will resolve freight and billing issues, track shipments daily, negotiate rates with carriers using broker platforms/TMS to optimize service.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Drayage with knowledge of port operations and brokerage.
Proven track record in Logistics/Trucking and drayage.
Strong self-starter with ability to work independently.
Deep understanding of transportation and Drayage terms.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers, focusing on drayage and port ops.
Research and resolve freight and billing issues related to shipments.
Maintain communication with carriers and brokerage leadership.
Track and trace shipments daily to ensure timely delivery.
Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments efficiently.
Facilitate pricing strategies by negotiating with carriers and analyzing market data.
