Job summary

DTE Energy's EES Coke Operations in River Rouge, Michigan is seeking an experienced engineer to support cokemaking processes, identify improvement projects, and coordinate with plant personnel in the field and office.

Qualifications include a BS in engineering from an ABET/EAC university and at least five years in heavy industry, with experience in PSM and wastewater operations. Strong communication and safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited university.
• At least five years of related engineering experience in heavy industry, preferably coke/chemical.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and wastewater operations.

Responsibilities

• Understand cokemaking process, material handling, byproducts treatment, and product delivery.
• Develop scope and budget for plant projects; coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Oversee project execution and process changes in the field with EES personnel.
• Facilitate root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for equipment issues.
• Document changes and communicate startup and reference information.
