ITW in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced manufacturing assembler for the Magnetics division. The role focuses on winding coils, setting up winders, prepping, dip/bake, and robotic welding, with cross-training across welding, winding, and prepping.

You will order materials, schedule production orders, and work as a self-starter and team player in a safety-conscious environment aligned with ISO quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate winders; wind coils as required

These functions will include winding of all coils, prepping, robotic welding, dip/bake and assembly as needed. Cross training/rotation on welding, winding, and prepping within the department is required on a regular basis. The person must be willing to work in other areas of the Industrial Equipment Division when necessary. Position requires ordering material and scheduling orders. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of machine operation and must be a self-starter and team player!

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly instructions
  • Proficiency in basic computer use and comprehension of company policies, safety directives, and work instructions
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations, including entering production numbers into databases or Excel spreadsheets
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs continuously
  • Capability to handle wire spools weighing between 80-160 lbs
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules up to 57 hours per week, Monday through Saturday
  • Ability to interpret bill of materials, process routings, layout drawings, and magnetics manufacturing diagrams
  • Aptitude to memorize sequential steps of repetitive processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating crimping equipment
  • Experience operating robotic welding
  • Experience with dip/bake
  • Familiarity with operating winders
  • Background in mechanics or machine operation
Physical Demands
  • Continuous use of fine finger dexterity, neck flexion, and reaching
  • Frequent use of both hands to handle cores, wire, tools, and components
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of 11-25lbs, and occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of 26-50lbs
  • Occasional bending at knees and waist
  • Close vision, midrange vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and balance are necessary
  • Constant sitting/standing/alternating
Additional Functions
  • Prioritize workload based on customer needs.
  • Transport products between assembly areas using hand carts and pallet jacks.
  • Adhere to company policies and rules regarding quality and safety.
  • Cross-train and work in all Magnetics assembly areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned area.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using computers, small hand and pneumatic tools, scales, calculators, and rulers.
