Job summary

SMS group is a leading global partner in metals processing, with a strong North American presence. This role supports coil design, repair and induction tooling with hands-on production tasks and safety at the forefront.

The Forge Induction Coil Fabricator will learn heat induction forge coil repair, breakdown coils, coil coating, painting, nylon dipping, and operate Hi-lo/forklifts, while completing required paperwork and supporting all operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Drug-free, dependable with good attendance

Summary

The Forge Induction Coil Fabricator will learn heat induction forge coil repair using the following skills:

• Induction heating experience a plus
• Knowledge of brazing, welding, and soldering helpful.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment, calipers.
• Experience with reading and following instructions from CAD drawings.
• Knowledge or experience with manufacturing, machinist tools, measuring instruments.
• Able to breakdown coils, along with learning coil coating process, painting and nylon dipping.
• Fill out paperwork associated with assigned work tasks.
• Ability to use Hi-lo/forklifts.
• Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations as requested by supervisor.
