Job summary

Dover Food Retail in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking a brazer to support the production of refrigerated display cases. You will join pieces of metal using a brazing torch, reading work orders and blueprints to identify part numbers and ensure joints meet defined standards.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED and at least six months brazing experience or certification. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks in a production environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• H S Diploma or GED required.
• At least six months brazing experience or technical brazing certification.
• Basic math skills (units of measure).
• Experience with soldering or welding.
• Experience with refrigerated display cases or HVAC systems.
• Experience in refrigeration equipment manufacturing or testing; able to operate power tools; fine motor skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, squat or kneel as required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs with/without aid.

Responsibilities

• Braze copper to copper, brass, aluminum or dissimilar metals using a torch.
• Read work orders and blueprints; identify part numbers.
• Braze coil assemblies to defined standards; ensure product quality.
• Cut metal piping to specified lengths.
• Perform safety checks on brazing equipment and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
