Utah Valley University invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track in Cognitive Psychology, to begin in Fall 2027. The Psychology and Counseling Department seeks candidates who will contribute to teaching, research, and service while supporting UVU’s teaching-focused mission and student success.

Location on Main Campus in Orem, UT, with opportunities to mentor undergraduates and engage in collaborative research across a broad student body and regional partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology or related field by start date.
• Ability to teach cognitive psychology courses.
• Evidence of scholarly/creative work relevant to teaching.
• Demonstrates respect for students and colleagues and upholds ethics.
• Must relocate to Utah if hired.

Responsibilities

• Teach and grade coursework with regular office hours and mentorship.
• Design, review, and revise curriculum and courses to meet department needs.
• Engage in scholarship through original research and dissemination.
• Provide service to the department, college, and university.
