Job summary

SCT seeks an experienced Cognitive Performance Specialist in Edinburgh, IN to support Army National Guard H2F initiatives. The role centers on cognitive readiness and mental skills training for Soldiers, improving focus, self-regulation, and performance under pressure.

The CPS will mentor Master Resilience Trainers, align programming with Army standards (FM 7-22, AR 600-9, AR 350-1), and travel for unit training; primarily on-site with occasional telework per approvals.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Kinesiology from an accredited university.
• Minimum of three years of postgraduate experience providing mental skills training and cognitive performance enhancement services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive mental readiness training program based on performance psychology.
• Develop and provide practical mental skills resources, including tip sheets and guided audio exercises.
• Train Soldiers in evidence-based cognitive skills to enhance performance under pressure.
• Teach practical stress-response techniques, including breathing and mindfulness.
• Coordinate with H2F Performance Team to align cognitive programs with unit priorities.
• Mentor Master Resilience Trainers and H2F-Integrators through advanced skill training.
