C&H Sugar Company, Inc. seeks a Power Station Operator to observe the cogeneration plant, turbines, and auxiliary equipment, maintaining logs and reporting irregularities. You will start-up and secure equipment from the DCS or field, perform water chemistry tests, and conduct routine maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires 5 years of powerhouse experience, a universal schedule, and a strong safety mindset in a unionized setting, with overtime and weekend work included.

Formación

• 5 years' experience operating powerhouse equipment including steam turbines, power generation equipment and auxiliary equipment.
• Must be able to work the Universal Schedule.
• Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.

Responsabilidades

• Observes the operating conditions of the cogeneration plant and the turbine generators and their auxiliary equipment.
• Maintains logs and records of operating conditions and reports irregularities to supervision.
• Start-up and secure equipment under normal and emergency situations from the DCS or field.
• Perform water chemistry tests as directed to control condensate quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment and change exciter brushes as needed.
• Make adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Power Station.
• Work with limited supervision and maintain a neat, orderly station area.
• Direct activities of other operators within assignments.
• Maintain close contact with Crockett Cogeneration Plant staff.
