Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a skilled Powerhouse Operator at the Crockett Cogeneration Plant to monitor and maintain turbine generators and auxiliary systems. You will perform routine rounds, start-up/securing operations, and assist in ensuring safe, efficient plant performance.

This role requires 5 years’ experience with power generation equipment, ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and be comfortable in a unionized environment, with a strong safety focus and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience operating powerhouse equipment including steam turbines and power generation equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Observe operating conditions of the power station and turbine generators.
• Start-up and secure equipment from DCS or field in normal and emergency situations.
• Perform water chemistry tests to control condensate quality.
• Maintenance on facility equipment and routine checks.
• Make adjustments to ensure safe, efficient operation of the power station.
• Direct activities of other operators as needed.
