Job summary

Caribou Coffee in Clearwater is seeking a Coffeehouse Team Member to deliver day-making experiences through outstanding guest service and crafted beverages. You’ll work across shifts, connect with guests, and uphold Caribou’s purpose and values in every interaction.

Ideal candidates bring a hospitality mindset, can work mornings or afternoons, and enjoy building relationships while maintaining cleanliness and accuracy in cash handling and order accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability for mornings and afternoons is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide incredible Guest Service by building relationships, listening, anticipating needs, and using product knowledge.
• Hand-craft beverages to Caribou standard operating procedures.
• Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to standard procedures.
• Flow between barista and guest service and fulfill all team roles.
• Take guest orders and manage cash drawer and policies.
• Maintain a clean, well-run store with proper sanitization.
• Proactively support teammates and leaders as needed.

Position Overview

The Coffeehouse Team Member is the core of the Caribou experience and delighting our guests. They are responsible for creating day making experiences through delivering unparalleled guest service, bringing the Purpose and Values of Caribou to life in every interaction, and making world-class hand-crafted beverages.

• Floats between barista and guest service, and willingly fulfills all team member roles and responsibilities
• Takes guest orders & manages cash drawer and follows all cash handling policies and procedures
• Maintains the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards
• Actively thinks and acts upon what the team and guest will need in the future
• Differentiates between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
• Understands that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly takes direction from leaders

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work mornings, and afternoons is critical
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Restaurant, retail or guest service experience.
• Previous barista experience.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical demands must be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
